Client Story: Allison
February 14, 2012
Allison had spent the better part of a decade volunteering at her local food pantry when she found that she needed help herself. In August 2010, her life began to rapidly change, with not a lot working in her favor. It was during this time — the height of the recession — that she lost her job. Only in her early 50s, she felt her age was hindering her from getting new work immediately.
Today, she lives with her daughter and granddaughter to cut down on expenses. The family had to turn to their local pantry, an agency of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin, for assistance. She shared her story (and a wonderful surprise) in the following video.

There but for the grace of God…so relate-able. So nice to see a happy ending.
