The energy here is truly inspiring, I can’t wait to observe and be a part of the impact the research will make. This Thursday, Feeding America will unveil the results of Map the Meal Gap, a landmark analysis of local level food insecurity in the United States. For more than 37 million people in this country – one out of every eight – Feeding America is playing a critical role in helping to address this gap. While Feeding America food banks annually receive the majority of their generous support in the form of food and funds from a wide variety of private corporate and individual donors at both the national and local levels, our network would not be able to continue serving those in need were it not for a significant investment provided annually by the Federal government.

The annual Nonprofit Technology Conference is held every spring and usually kicks off with a Day of Service to give back to the community hosting the conference. This year, it was held in Washington DC and the attendees went to the DC Central Kitchen which is three blocks from the U.S. Capital.
