@katiecouric: Hunger in America
November 23, 2010
CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric has an online program, @katiecouric which features candid, in-depth interviews with newsmakers from the worlds of politics, business, medicine and entertainment.
Yesterday, she turned her focus to hunger in America. This comes after the recent release of the USDA food insecurity numbers showing 50 million Americans – 1 in 6 – struggle with hunger. The program features Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, Feeding America CEO Vicki Escarra and World Hunger Year (WHY) Bill Ayres.
Here is the whole video. You can also see parts of the video on the @katiecouric website.

Thanks for that info, useful stuff. I get so bored of plain rice but i’m not exactly very skilled when it comes to cooking. There’s loads of unique ideas at this rice recipes homepage I found that your readers might be interested in too.

The food bank that serves that area is Feeding America Tampa Bay (http://www.feedingamericatampabay.org). They would be able to refer an agency for your brother.
